How it Spreads
With todays currrent technology where everyone has the internet at their fingertips spreading false news has never been easier through socail media. And as to be expected there are plenty of people out there who have taken advantage of this and tried to fool us. It has been reported that while Covid cases are at an all time high Russia has been spreading misinformation about the crisis through English-language websites. This could poteinally undermine the critical efforts that the people in this country are making to end the crisis with more people going out without precations.
Fake cures
Another problem is the drug hydroxychloroquine. This drug is said to cure the coraonavirus. As we now know this is defineley not true and the drug comes with deadly side effects. Regardless though Rep. Andy Biggs of Airizona has been constatly promoting the drug and assuring people that he knows it is quite safe. The FDA though,says it is not a possible cure for the coranvirus and there is no evidence that it has cured patients or sped up the recovery process for patients. In fact the side effects are fatal.The FDA said that the drug "can cause serious heart rhythm problems and other safety issues, including blood and lymph system disorders,kidney injuries, and liver problems and failure."
Anti-Mask Myths
Dr. Stella Immanuel has been known to promote extremely bizzare opinions in the past, and she now claims that there is no need at all for a mask. Others believe that a mask is completely useless and say that it is a violation of their freedom. They call upon the 14th Amendment which states “No states are allowed to make laws that take our freedoms and liberties away,” Wearing a mask does not violate any amendments; otherwise, the judges who have a vast amount of knowledge on these matters would have something to say. Others believe that the mandates have scared people into believing that masks are a must if they are to stay protected. And because those scared few feel that way, they become angry and vile towards anyone who does not share in their fear. Clearly, these ideas are laughable and even more so when the people voicing these opinions get the virus themselves.
